Windsor – The Windsor Rotary Club helped town residents get their junk to the dump by providing personalized pick up service for those who did not have the means to get their items to the October Windsor “Dump Day”. Several members also assisted with the dirty work of unloading tires, old electronics and debris from the many carloads that arrived on Saturday morning. Town Manager Tom Marsh stated “ the twice a year dump days, which allow Windsor residents to dispose of a wide range of items at no cost has become one of the most popular town services”. A weak link in the system however, has been many residents, particularly the elderly find it a challenge to get items to the collection site, or to get items out of their vehicle into one of the collection dumpsters. The Windsor Club involvement this time has provided valuable and appreciated assistance”.  To find out more about the Windsor Rotary Club visit www.facebook.com/WRC6487/.
